Happy Birthday to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was released ten years ago today. Originally scheduled to be released on September 11, 2001, it was delayed due to various record label shenanigans (chronicled in the documentary I am Trying to Break Your Heart) and finally officially released on Nonesuch on April 23, 2001. So many classics to choose from . . .

And as a bonus, here’s another take of “Radio Cure” from the Solid Sound Festival as Mass Moca last summer. The PA cuts out about 2/3 of the way through and the audience finishes the song. My daughter and I were at this rain-soaked show and this was a wonderful moment.
