“A load of posturing poo-poo.”

Which is how Alan Parker describes Peter Greenaway’s The Draughtsman’s Contract. Here are 29 other filmmakers being really really mean to each other, courtesy of Flavorpill. Hint: Cronenberg does not care for M. Night.

I agree with Ingmar Bergman, Orson Welles, and Werner Herzog on Jean-Luc Goddard. I have never enjoyed one of his films, not even Breathless. And the later “political” ones? Blech.

I can’t help but agree with a bunch of these. I don’t think Tarantino really found a center until Kill Bill. I think Spike Lee should shut his face. And for all his faults, at least Uwe Boll is not Michael Bay. (Hell, at least Ted Bundy is not Michael Bay.)

But apparently Vincent Gallo is a nutball?

I used to think that Vincent Gallo was doing an act but now I think that he’s genuinely unhinged. He now says he will still make films but he will not show them to anyone. No more public exposure: Vincent Gallo puts his films away.

Never saw Brown Bunny but Buffalo 66 is great.
