My Beautiful Mommy is a new children’s book that helps kids cope with mommy’s plastic surgery.
Dr. Michael Salzhauer, a renowned plastic surgeon, wrote My Beautiful Mommy to help patients explain their transformation to their children. The story guides children through Mommy’s surgery and healing process in a friendly, nonthreatening way.

The death of childhood, how sad. But at least there’s a book to cope with it for today’s uber-coddled kids. When I realized my mommy wasn’t really my mommy any more, no one bought me a book. Back in the day, we just used beer to get through the tough stuff.
